Darna was born from a simple belief: that the most extraordinary meals happen around a table where everyone feels welcome. We brought the flavors of the Levant, slow-roasted lamb, charcoal-kissed kabobs, hand-rolled grape leaves to Temple Terrace so that our neighbors could taste what home means to us.
Our family’s recipes traveled with us across continents. They were written in margins of notebooks, memorized by smell, and passed down through hands that knew how much salt is enough without measuring. We honor that tradition in every dish we prepare.
When you sit at our table, you are not just a guest. You are part of Darna — our home.

We believe in the ancient alchemy of charcoal and open flame. Nothing is rushed. Our meats are marinated overnight, our breads baked fresh, our rice layered with spice from the first minute on the stove.

Our recipes are not invented — they are remembered. From the kibbeh our grandmothers shaped by hand to the ouzi that perfumes the whole neighborhood, we cook the way our family has always cooked.

Darna means “Our Home” in Arabic and that’s exactly the feeling we set out to create. We opened our doors in Temple Terrace, Tampa with one mission: to bring authentic Mediterranean flavors to the heart of our community.
